Halloween Party Basket
I needed to provide an item for the fundraising auction for my son's football team so I went to the Graphics Fairy to find great Halloween art for my project: a Halloween party in a basket!
The bat with the moon on the bucket and the owl and branch on the tray were transferred with graphite paper then hand painted. The "mason jar" lanterns and the "Beetle Juice" decanters have other Halloween themed art printed on decal paper then transferred. See the blackbird, beetle, cat, and BOO that I used or search Karen's site for your favorite!

What I did on my summer "vacation."
The devastating drought that has gripped the center of the country proved bountiful for me. The hot weather kept me from working in the yard or going out to explore for interesting vintage items so I started surfing the web and discovered "The Graphics Fairy". Her generosity, her creativity, and her numerous posts inspired every project I worked on this summer. I was thrilled to have unlimited sources of valuable ideas as well as tutorials to enhance my decorative art skills. The items in pictures posted today include graphics from Karen Watson's Graphics Fairy blog.
My favorite project has been the antique hutch that I use to display small items in my gallery at Consign and Design. It features a French grain sack graphic I got from Karen's blog. I did have to alter it to fit on the cupboards but the original is amazing and would be cool on linens, burlap, or kitchen signage.
Here are a few more of my "creations" that you can find for sale in my booth.
If you are out and about in the St. Louis area, stop by Consign and Design located at Sappington and Manchester in Glendale, MO and visit Katie's Corner to see what else I have made!
